Concussions

Brain Health Concussion PT

Concussion treatment has made radical progress in the last few years. Instead of laying in a dark room, guiding rehabilitation with movement can expedite healing.

A home exercise program that begins as early as possible is paramount to a full recovery. This can be established in one PT visit.

If a person has a concussion and is experiencing neck pain or pain that is referring into the neck or shoulders, more PT is needed.

"Both my children have seen Isaac and he is wonderful! He truly knows what he is doing. He had my kids healed and back to playing their favorite sports!" - Kris F.

Special Tests for concussions

01 Buffalo Treadmill Test

Used to assess post-concussion patients, it measures a patients’ heart rate response to a graded exercise regimen. Then, correlation with the patient's symptoms in response to the exertion is measured. Research has proven patients benefit from supported return to cardiovascular exercise. This test allows an objective standard of care to determine the ideal level of exertion.
